Lemon Tree (original painting – one off sale)
Lemon tree. This fantastic lemon tree is in my neighbours garden, producing an ongoing crop of delicious lemons. It took a bit to draw as it's old branches are twisted and complex while the colours are warm and generous. I thoroughly enjoyed working on this painting and love the design it has become.

My original work begins from a live sketch and is then transfered on to a piece of Saunders Waterford cold pressed 100% cotton paper 640gsm/300lb. Which is a very heavy grade of top quality paper that really lasts and looks beautiful under the layer of gouache paint. I love paper and pay alot of attention to this component of my work.
The paint is Windsor & Newton quality gouache, an opaque version of watercolour paint that creates soft yet vivid tones. The paper size is 76cm x 56cm.
