MY LAST EXHIBITION WAS HELD AT Kura Gallery, Wellington SEPT 2019
My work, Wellington Pou, (see right) featured in a Showcase Exhibition at Wellington's Kura Gallery in September 2019. I created this painting to commemorate the 50th anniversary of conservation work by the New Zealand Department of Conservation.
In it, I overlaid drawings of endangered species (bittern bird, snail, brown skink, sponoid marine worm and speargrass beetle) on a painted background of Wellington landscapes.
Conservation of the natural world is important to me, and often feature plants and birds and animals in my paintings. I support local conservation groups to protect and restore native habitats through artistic collaborations .
